What is ARCS ?

Oracle ARCS automates and governs the balance sheet reconciliation process — replacing spreadsheets and email with a structured, auditable close control environment.

Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARCS) is Oracle’s cloud product for automating and governing the balance sheet account reconciliation process — replacing spreadsheet-based reconciliation workflows with a structured environment where account owners prepare reconciliations, reviewers approve them, and close managers have real-time visibility into reconciliation status across every account.

ARCS addresses a specific and persistent problem in enterprise financial close: the reconciliation process — matching account balances to supporting documentation before the close is complete — is typically managed through a combination of spreadsheets, email confirmations, and informal tracking systems. This produces an audit trail that is difficult to defend to external auditors, a close process that is slower than it needs to be, and a control environment where reconciliation exceptions are not always identified before the consolidated accounts are finalised.

For enterprises in the GCC and Egypt operating under IFRS with external audit requirements, ARCS provides the documented, timestamped, role-governed reconciliation trail that external auditors and internal audit functions require. It integrates with Oracle FCCS so that the reconciliation status of underlying accounts feeds the close workflow — accounts that are not reconciled do not pass through the close without a documented explanation.
